Safe Zones are created to prevent offline raiding damage when an Engineer plays on a multiplayer server. They can only be activated on station grids, and may only be built for large grids.

The Safe Zone requires between 5 and 300 MW while active, depending on the size of the zone. It requires only 1 W when inactive.

Safezones are sort of expensive to maintain, and that means that usually the protected area is valuable enough to the player/faction to pay the upkeep both in terms of chips, and power usage. At least now players can have an area that they can keep safe so that they don't get entirely wiped.

The council station would be a safe zone where players can speak on diplomacy, trade, so on, without anyone being able to build/destroy blocks. The station itself would be an indestructible grid. The zone around the grid would be ~20km and all damage events would be negated within the zone.

the safe zone generator consumes 300 mw (equivalent of 1 large reactor at 100% usage) and 1 zone chip per hour. 7. Share. Report Save. level 1. Codename Horizon. 1 year ago . It's entirely based on the radius of your zone. As the other guy said, at max radius it pulls 300 mw but it can pull a lot less than that with smaller zones. 3. Share. Report Save. level 2.
